Hard to write.

Sweet Friends, the surgery did not go as planned and the bypass was not successful. But David is stable and we praise God that he is. God's hand is on him, on this family...but they all need time to rest. The Doctors need to rest and David needs to rest after a 22 hour surgery trying 3 different vessels and times to bypass...the doctors are formulating a plan to try a different procedure in a few days.

Please no visitors.

Continue to pray and continue to communicate to David Matt Kathe Barbara Austin Lauren and all the extended family your support and lifting up.

They love you and they need your prayers now more than ever.

With a heavy heart,
ellie

Matt, Kathe, David, & family,

Just wanted you to know that we're praying here in Austin. Sorry to hear that the surgery didn't achieve the desired outcome. I'm wondering if you're at Memorial Hermann's Neuro ICU. That's where I worked right out of nursing school. There are wonderful people there, and I'm sure it's comforting to know that the medical expertise there are the best! We'll be praying for rest for you all, and for your eyes to be fixed upon Jesus and nothing else right now.

John 14:1-
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me." (NIV)
"Don't let this throw you. You trust God, don't you? Trust me." (The Message)
"DO NOT let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me." (Amplified Bible)

Love from All of us,
Melissa & Trae

I've been praying for y'all for several days and will continue. God is good and David's life will be used for His glory. I know you know that but it is always good to hear reminders of God at work. Everything is safe in His hands. I've been praying for God's peace to be felt by each one of you. I know you've been feeling it.
David is such a sweet young man and has a sweet heart for the Lord.
Love,
~Brenda Kapavik

We don't know what God's plan is in all this, but He has a plan and we know His plan is good!

`For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. ‘Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. ‘You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. ‘I will be found by you,’ declares the LORD (Jeremiah 29:12-14)

David, we've been praying for you and your family since we heard. We'll keep praying. Love to your whole family.

I met David at Red Cloud 6-7 years ago and had an immediate thought: "What a blessing this place is for David". I've not seen the Big Dave recently. I did watch his personality & energy affect any he met. I heard the comments about him from my Grandkids over the years. There was really a Big Dave in the little guy I knew. I also changed my evaluation of him vis-a-vis Red Cloud. WHAT A BLESSING HE WAS FOR RED CLOUD!!! Grover
