Dear Family and Friends:

If you did not know about David's last 11 days this blog will catch you up quickly! I encourage you to read previous posts and marvel at God's miracle.

Matt, Austin, Barbara and I cannot thank you enough for all the prayer support - emotional support and care you all have given us - God has used you all to be Him to us in this scary time with David.

We are still in the ICU at Hermann Hospital with David - this is what Dr. Chen has told us would be the 'stormy' time for the next 3 days as his brain will swell - so please keep praying for David -
we are so thankful that the procedure went smoothly yesterday and that God was able to use Dr. Chen to 'shut down' the largest aneurysm.

He still has another aneurysm in the center of his brain that we will have to have surgery on in the next 3 months - but it is not nearly as big or scary as the one that was shut down yesterday.

Ellie will continue to give updates on the blog and that will be the best way to know the latest with David.

We love you all and are overwhelmed with God's goodness in sparing David's life and allowing him to be 'complete'.

rejoicing - kathe & matt

"As for me, I will always have hope;
I will praise You more and more.
My mouth will tell of Your righteousness,
of Your salvation all day long,
though I know not it's measure."

Psalm 71:14-15

hit their knees upon hearing the incredible news!)

I just opened my computer to check the blog, turned on my new download of Blessed is the One by Daniel Doss and opened my first piece of mail to the greatest joy of your Christmas picture of David, Barbara and Austin. In this moment I am overwhelmed and the tears flow with so much emotion. Thank you for the gift of your faith and the privilege of being your sister in Christ. We are continuing to pray for all of you and love you so much more than ever before.

Matt & Kathe, my sons, Parker and Davis were moved by the outpouring of love toward you guys and big Dave Tues, and last night Davis, my 13 yr old, had mom (Cindy) shave his head in support - prayer and moral - of Dave. The White's are praying Abba will shelter your family, and "quiet you with His love" (Zeph 3:17). Love, Kurt, Cindy and crew

As I am sure you may already know, many people you have never met are interceeding on behalf of David! Mrs. Ashkar has all the Pre-K families praying for David and today at CBS Memorial (totally unrelated) the success of David's surgery and the blessing of the snow per David's request was celebrated by over 200 women. Be encouraged, your journey is bringing honor and glory to His Kingdom.

Psalms 89:8 NIV
O LORD God Almighty, who is like you? You are mighty, O Lord, and your faithfulness surrounds you.

Matt,
I recently heard of your son's battle and have prayed for you and your family, as well as your son's Dr's and Nurses. I see by this latest update that God has been watching over you all. May your son's progress continue and he be home for Christmas! May God bless you all throughout this entire experience!

We are rejoicing with you. We love the great news and will continue to pray for more and more of it! David is a beautiful miracle in so many ways and you are wonderful parents. Thank you for showing me how to allow God to work through your children and allowing each of us to share in his great works and your inspiring faith.

Reading Psalm 150 this morning in celebration for what God did in the surgery yesterday, I could just hear David's music/life story all over this last Psalm. I pray he'll be making a joyful noise proclaiming God's greatness all the days of his life--"louding clashing cymbols" of praise. May we join him in using our lives as instruments of honor and praise to our AWESOME GOD!

WE ARE PRAISING GOD & CONTINUING
2 PRAY! HUGS AND TEARS of JOY from
The Ackersons (SNOW in HOUSTON--LOL with JOY!)

Psalm 150
Praise the LORD! Praise God in His sanctuary;praise Him in His mighty heavens!
Praise Him for His mighty deeds; praise Him according to His excellent greatness!

Praise Him with trumpet sound;
praise Him with lute and harp
Praise him with tambourine and dance;praise Him with strings and pipe!
Praise Him with sounding cymbals;
praise Him with loud clashing cymbals!

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!

This morning as I was praising God for His many answers to prayer concerning David, I turned to today's page in my journal. There I saw the verse for the day was 1 Peter 3:12a "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer." Isn't our Father amazing? Thank you Lord!
We love the Bakers so much. Keep your loving arms around them and be attentive to their prayers throughout these next days as well. In the Name of Jesus.
